Project description:

This project is about the design of two detached houses in Koropi area, Athens. It was a difficult plot to work with, (narrow, facing the road with an angle) so we worked on a double grid transforming 2d plans to 3d volumes. The dominant architectural feature of the houses is the big openings  that connect visually 2 stories and offer natural ventilation and daylight.  The white color of the facades is combined with an antiquated wood of cedar and panneled clean glass surfaces which surround the site.  At the ground floor there are the living room, the kitchen, the dining room and a guest wc and at the 1st floor are the bedrooms and the baths. In addition, the houses have lofts as an auxiliary space. The modern design of the buildings are combined with similar choices at the interior decoration. The high fence and the large screens are driving mind to that conclusion. This was a design intent and not something that just happened.
