Finalist at the URBAN 2017 Photo Awards by Trieste Cultural Association dotART
The International Photo Contest is promoted by the cultural association dotART of Trieste in collaboration with photographers.it and with media partnership of Sprea Fotografia Accademia. In the contest, 4,120 photos and 253 portfolios for 1,015 participants from all over the world submitted their works.
The jury is composed of Maurizio Galimberti (President of the Jury, photographer and internationally renowned artist for his Polaroid mosaics), Monika Bulaj (photographer, reporter and documentarist), Denis Curti (artistic director of the Casa dei Tre Oci in Venice), Elena Uljančić-Vekić (director of the Museum of Porec, Croatia), Aida Muluneh (Ethiopian photographer and founder of Addis Foto Fest, Africa's largest photographic festival), Angelo Cucchetto (founder of the Photographers.it portal and artistic director of Trieste Photo Days, the Polish street photographer, Ania Klosek, the Indian natural photographer Rathika Ramasamy Photography, Bob Patterson (Street Photographer Magazine editor), Grzegorz Kosmala (doc! photo magazine editor), Karol Liver (Polish photographer and director Prism Magazine), Rohit Vohra (one of the most important Asian photographers, co-founder of APF Magazine Street Photography), Mozart Mesquita (partner of FHOX organizing Fotografar SHOW, Brazil's largest photographic event), Maja Briski (art critic, independent curator and graphic designer) and Christy Karpinski Photography (founder of F-Stop Magazine - Chicago).

The Finalist photo / portfolio at URBAN 2017 Photo Awards has been selected to take part at "URBAN unveils the City and its secrets Vol. 03”. It's a 200-color-pages photographic volume with a selection of photos (single and taken from Portfolios) ranked at URBAN 2017, published by dotART. A series of “stories of the City” told through urban photography. On the website of the contest you can see Volume 1 and Volume 2. The book will be presented at the end of October during Trieste Photo Days 2017, just before the award ceremony of the contest.
